Day 1 : ARRIVE DELHI Arrive at Delhi International Airport. Please clear immigration & visa formalities, collect your baggage. meet your Tour Manager who will assist you to transfer to the hotel. Stay two nights in Delhi. Day 2 : DELHI After breakfast and a brief introduction of the tour by Tour Manager start your sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid; largest mosque in India, Qutub Minar; this victory tower is an excellent example of Afghan Architecture and is 73mts high, explore Chandni Chowk by rickshaw - Shahjahanabad’s Main Street in 1650, facing the majestic Red Fort. It originally had a central canal running down its full length, and when moonlight reflected off the water it got the name Chandni Chowk or ‘Avenue of Moonlight’. The canals have long since gone and it is now a chaotically bustling area, typical of real India, containing a mix of stalls, shops, food outlets, and temples, drive past India Gate and parliament buildings (where you will stop for Photo). BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 3 : DELHI - JAIPUR After breakfast travel to Jaipur also known as the Pink City. On arrival check-in at the hotel. In the evening explore the market and witness local men wearing colourful bright turbans describing their clan and watch women in their beautiful mirror jaded colourful clothes. Jaipur was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who ruled from 1699–1744 and initially his capital was Amber, which lies at a distance of 11 km from Jaipur. He felt the need of shifting his capital city with the increase in population and growing scarcity of water. The King consulted several books on architecture and architects before making the layout of Jaipur. Stay for two nights in Jaipur. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 4 : JAIPUR After breakfast, enjoy guided city tour and visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of Rajasthan and the majestic palace complex to witness a unique system of air-conditioning of the 17th century. A beautiful complex of Palaces, halls, pavilions, garden and temples built by Raja Mansingh, Mirza Raja Jaisingh and Sawai Jaisingh over a period of about two centuries, it still stands in the magnificent state. City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas), and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world, photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace); built-in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh at a time when women of the royal family had to observe strict purdah, it is believed that this palace was built for them to take pleasure in the processions and various activities taking place in the streets below without showing themselves and thus enjoying a sense of freedom. Late afternoon women will have Heena painting and men will learn the art of Rajasthani Turban tying. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 5 : JAIPUR - RANTHAMBORE After breakfast transfer to Ranthambore National Park, one of the biggest and most renowned National Parks in Northern India. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Park terrain is major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers in this destination. Enjoy a village tour and stay for two nights at the resort. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 6 : RANTHAMBORE After breakfast enjoy a morning and an afternoon game viewing by canter around an estimated area of 400sq Km of this amazing reserve. The park is majorly famous for its tigers and is one of the best locations in India to see the majestic predators in its natural habitat (Spotting not always guaranteed). Ranthambore is also counted as the famous heritage site because of the pictorial ruins that dot the wildlife park. Certainly, a visit to Ranthambore National Park is a treat for every wildlife and nature lover. BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER Day 7 : RANTHAMBORE - AGRA Today we travel to the City of Taj the most endurable monument of love to the world. En-route visiting Keoladeo Ghana bird sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a rickshaw ride to see several species of Indian and international migratory birds. Stay two nights in Agra. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 8 : AGRA An early start to visit the Taj Mahal, the world’s greatest monument of love and devotion with its superb craftsmanship of semi-precious stones inlaid in the marble. After breakfast visit the impressive 16th century Agra Fort a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is admired for its splendour, architectural beauty and magnificent halls and Itmad-Ud-Daulah a mausoleum for its ‘Pietra Dura’ inlay and lattice marble screens. Conclude the day with a visit to a marble inlay workshop to see artisans creating a masterpiece in marble and precious gemstones. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 9 : AGRA - COCHIN Today after breakfast we travel back to Delhi airport and board a flight to Cochin. On arrival meet the Tour Executive at the Cochin Airport arrival lounge and transfer to the hotel. Evening free to explore the capital city of Kerala also known as ‘God’s own Country’ and stay two nights in Cochin. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 10 : COCHIN Early morning, wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sights of sunrise over the Chinese fishing nets. The beautiful expanse of nets with the backdrop of sun rising is a perfect start to enjoy the scenic beauty of India. After breakfast, we will set out to explore this port city with a rich and interesting past. The Chinese, Jews, Arabs, and Europeans sailed into this city to trade and their influence is still found in the buildings and lifestyle of the city. We will walk through the Fort area, exploring Jewish Synagogue – which is one of the oldest synagogues amongst all the commonwealth nations, St Francis church, Dutch Palace or Mattancherry Palace - a 16th-century palace. Just opposite the Mattancherry Palace, visit the spice market, one of the biggest centres of spices in Cochin. Here you can buy some of the authentic spices, smell and see what makes Indian curries so hot and tasty. In the evening we will take you to a Kathakali Performance. Kathakali is a ritualized dance form that is native to Kerala, with elaborate costumes and makeup. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 11 : COCHIN - MUNNAR Drive from Cochin to Munnar a hill station at a height of 1525 meters, Munnar offers a breathtaking view of the hills swathed in an impossibly green carpet of tea bushes. Munnar - the right royal resort lazily nestled in the verdant slopes of tea country, is a quaint little town that exudes a rare old world charm and strangely reminds one of the days of the Raj in its elegant splendour. Beyond the rolling hills discover the rich tropical forests abounding in exotic flora and fauna. Afternoon visit tea plantations and then learn about how the tea is processed at the local factory. Stay overnight at Munnar. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 12 : MUNNAR - THEKKADY After breakfast travel to yet another enchanting destination, Thekkady. From tea estates, we now travel to the valley of spices and see the spice plantation gardens. Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna, is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Late evening enjoy a boat ride on the expansive waters of the Periyar dam. The two hours of boating will give you a myriad of opportunities to observe wild animals grazing, drinking water and coming down from the dense forest that fence the lake. Spend two nights in Thekkady. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 13 : THEKADDY Morning visit the Spice plantation famous for cardamom, coffee, and tea plantations and you will learn a bit about the many uses of the spices, both medical and culinary. Rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the local market famous for its spice and local produce. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 14 : OVERNIGHT BACKWATER CRUISE After breakfast travel to Kumarakom, upon arrival embark the houseboat. Enjoy splendid views of the backwaters from the boat. while sailing enjoy palm fringed narrow canals winding through the vast expanse of paddy fields and the neat tiny hamlets lined up along either side of the canals; one can never forget these panoramic sights. Witness the locals; children swimming and playing in the water, women attending to their daily chores and men fishing from their canoes. All meals with overnight on board. BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER Day 15 : ALLEPPEY - KOVALAM Wake up with the chirruping noise of birds and disembark after having your breakfast. Travel to Kovalam to enjoy your basic Ayurveda message and relax at the beach. Stay three nights in Kovalam. BREAKFAST AND DINNER Day 16 : KOVALAM Enjoy your leisurely breakfast as the day is free for own activities.
